As we begin 2017, I’d like to invite you to consider the following possibility…
What if this new year, the only resolution you make is to love yourself enough to courageously go after 100% of what you truly desire and believe wholeheartedly is possible?
Let me break this down for you, piece by piece.
Loving Yourself Enough
Most people have a belief that to love yourself means to buy yourself a nice gift or to treat yourself to a nice meal or massage. Although these are ways in which we love and appreciate ourselves, I believe that there’s a much deeper meaning to loving yourself.
Based on my life experience, to love myself means to accept every one of my parts deeply. Because, as my friend Jeff Foster often says, love is ultimately “the deepest acceptance.”
To love yourself means to fully and completely accept every part of you: the good, the bad, your light and darkness, your addictions, your biggest fears, strengths, and joys. And to accept yourself is to discover KNOW who you are.
Courageously Going After
The word courage, from the French cour, means heart.
Only when you know who you are, have accepted and reclaimed ALL aspects of you, even the ones you’ve been projecting onto others, only then will you have the clarity, inspiration, and power to with all your heart go after…
100% of Your True Desires
The word desire comes from the Latin meaning of the father.
To go after 100% of what you truly desire means to manifest ALL those ideas, projects, and goals that live unexpressed within your heart, or that place where the Divine lives inside of you.
There’s a distinction between what you THINK you want, and what you TRULY DESIRE. Most people chase goals that are other people’s desires for them. From a very early age, many of us have been conditioned to go after society’s idea of success instead of ours. We do this because we’re afraid to be different, to think differently, or to be laughed at. Each time we do this, we give away our power in exchange for safety, security, and approval from others.
Believing Wholeheartedly That It is Possible
There’s thinking happening inside your heart. This kind of thinking arises from an inner sense of knowing that something is possible and available to you. Even when your rational mind can’t figure out how something is going to happen, this inner part of you knows how to get you there faster.
Accessing this level of knowing, which is the essence of what Heart Intelligence is all about, requires that you unify your heart and mind by activating an inner state of heart coherence.
3 Powerful Questions to Ask Yourself
As we begin 2017, here are three questions that will help you start creating the life your heart is longing for:
1) Am I willing to love myself enough to courageously go after 100% of what I truly desire and believe wholeheartedly is possible? If so, what is the smallest step or action that I could take today?
2) Am I willing to start embracing all those parts of myself that I’ve been denying or projecting onto others, assuming responsibility for my life, and accepting myself as I am? If so, which part of me can I start accepting today? How would I do that?
3) Am I willing to start reclaiming the power that I’ve been giving away to others and reclaim 100% of this power? With all my power back, what action could I take today?
And this could mean the beginning of the most amazing year you’ve ever had in your life.
Wishing you a wonderful, inspiring and Happy New Year!
From my heart to yours.
