The paradox about The Path of the Heart is that it can’t be taught. As a guide, I can’t even point it out to you and tell you, “See, there’s your path!” as if I was telling you how to get to the nearest Friendly’s 7/11 Store. That’s an impossibility. And the reason is quite simple:
The Path is unique to you.
What makes The Path of the Heart a path ‘with a heart’, is that it is connected to your heart, inner core, center, truth, authentic self, or soul. Which is why I believe the writer of the Gospel of Luke wrote, “those along the path are the ones who hear.”
What is it they hear?
They are listening to their own soul, ‘God’, Presence, inner wisdom, still small voice, intuition, creative imagination, or whatever word or concept you use to refer to that aspect of yourself that is all-knowing, infinite and eternal and can see the larger vision for your life, the lessons you’re here to learn, and the things you’re here to accomplish.
Throughout history, different teachers have called this path by many different names…
Jesus called it ‘The Way’.
Buddha called it ‘The Middle Way’ or ‘The Path of Compassion’.
The Native American Indians called it, ‘The Red Path’.
The Ancient Daoist called it, the ‘Tian Ming’ or Heaven’s Orders.
Joseph Campbell called it ‘Following your Bliss’.
Modern teachers and authors have called it, ‘The Path of Love’, ‘The Road Less Travelled’, ‘The Path to Wholeheartedness’, ‘The Path of Simplicity’, ‘The Golden Path’, ‘The Path of Destiny’, ‘The Path of Courage’, ‘The Path of Least Resistance’, ‘The Path of Effortlessness’.
What I call and define as Heart Intelligence, is nothing more than a fancy term for the process by which you begin to tune in and start listening and following the guidance of this deeper aspect of yourself that knows the fastest, most effective way you can reach your projects, goals, desires in this lifetime.
As Jakusho Kwong reminds us, it’s not path to help you get “from here to there”, but to go “from here to here”. In other words, it’s a path that requires you to FIRST find inner alignment, or congruency, with your inner source of love, wisdom, creative imagination and the essence of your desire, BEFORE you can find it “out there”. It’s the same path Jesus referred to when he spoke about “seeking first the Kingdom of Heaven (within), and all these things shall be added on to you.”
The Path of the Heart is, in essence, a “Self-Ish” path. It starts when you make the decision to love yourself enough to FIRST find this inner source of love, wisdom and guidance within you, and FROM that place start creating the life that you know deep in your heart you came here to experience. And along the way, you transform yourself, others, and the world.
In my upcoming Path of the Heart Seminar, you’ll have the opportunity to learn cutting edge scientific tools, techniques and spiritual technologies to find this inner alignment with the vision for your life, and create a strategic plan of action to help you get there. This is my invitation to you, to re-invent yourself, and give birth to that new version of you that you’ve been secretly waiting to express.
Will you love yourself enough to take the first step?
