We spend a lot of time, energy, and money trying to convince other people of how special we are. We do it at work, in business, and in our personal lives. If we could only attract more people, more customers, more “like-minded” friends.
If they could only see how valuable and amazing we are. If only they could see the importance of doing things our way? If only they could listen, hold space for us, and communicate from an authentic space. If only they would express their love, tenderness, and affection towards us.
What if we stopped devoting our time, energy, and money in trying to persuade people who may never change their hearts and minds about us, and instead began to nurture those relationships with people who already feel deeply connect to us, and believe in what we believe?
How would that change your world? How would that change your sense of what’s possible and available for your life? How would that impact your work, business, and personal life?
When people treat you like they don’t care or they are not interested, believe them. Statistically, we all receive 80% of our love and affection from only 20% of our family and friends; 80% of our revenues from only 20% of our customers.
So, why not focus on watering the grass of all those relationships with clients, friends, family members who already get us, and think and feel the way we do?
It’s much easier to find an open heart than to change a closed one.
From my heart to yours.
