I came across this quote during my morning reading, and I knew in my heart I had to share it with you…
The biggest difference between those who succeed and those who fail at any endeavor is their level of commitment. Most people would like to be committed. But in practice, commitment requires an endless series of small PAINFUL ACTIONS. When a person has no way to deal with that pain, his commitment falls apart.”
~ Excerpt from the book ‘The Tools’ by Phil Stutz and Barry Michels
I believe that in life you don’t get what you want, need, deserve or desire.
You get what you commit to… wholeheartedly, and take action on.
Everything else is words and intentions carried by the wind of nothingness, and only leads to disappointment, despair, and feeling like a ‘failure’.
The key is embracing and moving through the pain that comes with commitment. Following through on your agreements, on your word, even though you feel like giving up, and calling it quits, or backing down, is what will ultimately set you free.
So, don’t quit before the miracle happens. Your miracle.
And if you’ve already quit, leave the safety of your thinking mind, and come back to your heart, and LISTEN deeply.
Your heart holds the key to help you get back on the saddle of your dream, make the necessary amends, say what has to be said, do what has to be done, and ultimately move courageously towards the miracle that’s wanting to come through you.
Only listen to your heart, for in it lies the key to everything you dream about secretly at night. And listen so intensely, as if your life depended on it, because it does.
