If I told you that in order to reach your goals you must first begin with an end in mind, you’d agree. This is what Stephen Covey taught us in his book ‘The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.
But if I asked your heart, if the best way to reach your goals is by beginning with the end in mind, it would likely disagree.
This has been my experience over and over, and the experience of most people I coach.
Doesn’t make sense, right?
Well, that’s precisely the point.
The realm of the heart will never make sense to our rational minds. Simply, because it is non-linear, subjective, and driven by sensory perception, instinct and emotions.
Being Heart Intelligent means that you are able to transcend the rational thinking of your mind, which is limited by past experience or prior knowledge of how something should or could be accomplished, and that instead, you access the vast inner resources available through your heart.
Through your heart you access the Infinite Wisdom and Guidance of the Universe, Spirit or Source, that will draw towards you the right events, people, circumstances and resources for the manifestation of your goal.
And this process begins when you put your attention on your heart and start connecting with the longing or desire that lives behind each one of your goals:
The “Heart” of your goal.
The heart of your goal is the experience your heart and soul are longing to have by the attainment of your desire.
If for example, you’d like to manifest your Soulmate, the heart of your goal is the experience of intimacy, love and connection.
If what you want to manifest is one million dollars, the heart of your goal is likely to be the experience of freedom, power, and security.
Beginning with the heart in mind, means you begin with the heart of your goal in mind or the emotional experience you would like to have as a result of achieving your goal.
Once you’re clear what it is you’d like to experience, what you want to do next is access that feeling or emotion RIGHT NOW.
Because when you experience that emotion in the present moment, what you’re doing is aligning vibrationally or energetically with the essence of your already manifested goal, and with the inner guidance or sense of direction that will take you there.
And, chances are you might even be guided towards something way better and superior than what you had originally thought of!
Thus, align with the frequency of love and you’ll attract a loving person into your life.
Align with the frequency of freedom, power and security and you’ll attract more money and success.
Still doesn’t make sense? No worries.
Here’s a step by step process you can use anytime you want to begin any project, vision or goal with the heart in mind.
How to Begin a Project or Goal with the Heart in Mind
- Place your hand over your heart.
- Breath deeply, evenly and rhythmically into your heart.
- Think of a goal, vision or project you’d like to manifest.
- Ask yourself, what is the emotion or feeling you’d like to experience as a result of achieving this goal.
- Use your mind to help you evoke that feeling by remembering a time in your life when you felt that feeling.
- Stay with the feeling and use your heart to energize it and amplify it.
- Ask your heart, what is the most effective, easy, and joyful way to manifest this goal?
- Listen deeply to the answers that begin to emerge in the form of thoughts, feelings, sensations or intuitive knowing.
- Take action, even if it doesn’t make sense now.
Each time you do this, you’re accessing the same creative forces that allowed Pablo Picasso to begin each work of art as an idea that came from a feeling or desire to experience something truly wonderful, unique and exquisite.
Begin with your heart in mind and you’ll end up in a place you never could have thought of!
